Born in Neuss, western Germany, Uwe Köller began trumpet lessons at the age of eight. He was awarded a scholarship by the Herbert von Karajan Foundation for his tireless efforts and musicality. Having honed his talents at the University of Music in Düsseldorf and Paris, he began his illustrious career as a solo trumpeter for the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. He has also experienced many stages as the principal trumpeter at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. He is also a member of Germany's strongest brass ensemble "German Brass" and has been active as a permanent director since 8.Along with his performance activities as a soloist, he also entered the field of education. In 95, he began teaching as a visiting professor at the Gratz National College of Music, and in 97 he was appointed as a full-time professor at the university. In the same year, "Austrian Brass Band English Model" was established. Incorporating the band into the Glatz National College of Music, he has won the European Brass Band Championship twice.
