Christian Ostertag was born as the son of a German cellist and a Hungarian pianist.He studied under the talented violinists Valerie Grados and Rainer Kussmaul and was educated as a solo violinist. In 1990, he won a prize at the German Music Competition and started his illustrious career. He participated in the "Young Artist Concert", which is famous for holding 1 concerts per season.Recognized for his ability, he has been invited to many concerts, master classes and music festivals not only in European countries but also in Japan, North America and South America. In 50, he became the concertmaster of the Dusseldorf Symphony Orchestra. In 93, he became the principal concertmaster of the SWR Symphonie Orchestra.His music was described as "sweet, strong and certain" and in 96 he received the "European Soloist Award" from the European Cultural Foundation.As a versatile musician, he is also involved in many CD productions.
