Israeli-born violist Yuval Gotlibovich graduated from the prestigious Indiana University in Bloomington, studying under professors such as Anna Rosnovski and Atar Arad. A talented man since he was a student, he won the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition (UK), the Aviv Competition (Israel), and the Chamber Music Player Fischoff Chamber Music Competition (USA). He started his performance activities in earnest and appeared as a soloist in the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, playing chamber music with world-class artists such as pianist, Menahem Pressler, violist Nobuko Imai, and cellist Natalya Gutmann. He also focuses on contemporary music and has performed with leading composers of the time, such as Krzysztof Penderecki and Henri Dutilleux. He has performed concerts mainly in Europe, the United States, and Israel, such as the Wigmore Hall in London and the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. In 2018, he stood on the stage with pianist Izumi Tateno and performed in Japan, and many of you may have seen his feat. There are many recordings, and you can listen to them on broadcasting stations such as the British BBC, Canadian CBC, Israeli IBA, French FRA, and German Deutschland Radio. He has a deep knowledge of movies and has performed live with viola and cello in the German silent movie "Dr. Caligari", which has a high artistic reputation. Currently, he is active as an active violist and is also enthusiastic about teaching younger generations as a professor at the Swiss Svizzera Italiana Conservatory and the Spanish State Catalunya Conservatory of Music.
