After graduating from Folkwang University of the Arts, German-born world-famous oboist Diethelm Jonas studied under Evelyn Roswell-Barbirolli at the Royal Academy of Music and Heinz Holliger at the Freiburg University of Music. His outstanding musicality has won numerous national and international competitions, has been supported by leading German orchestras, and has led the Essen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and the Southwestern German Radio Symphony Orchestra as chief orchestra. ..The conductor who co-stars is also spectacular. For more than 25 years, he has expressed the music requested by big conductors such as Bernstein, Kubelík, Solti, Sinopoli, Böhm, Haitink, and Celibidache at the highest level.
