Jacek Klimkiewicz / Former Professor, Folkwang University of the Arts, Germany / Violin open lesson (face-to-face)

Specialist to pass many students to the German University of Music / Thursday, March 2022, 3 Limited to 10 students

With more than 30 years of teaching experience, he has enrolled many students in German music colleges and led them to professionals, and the teaching method finds a part to be corrected like a doctor. A professor who has a deep relationship with Japan and is familiar with Japanese habits will surely take your music to the next step.

Jacek Klimkiewicz, a world-famous violinist from Warsaw, Poland, studied under Bronislaw Huberman and Carl Flesch's disciple and teacher Irena Dubiska. He was selected as the Principal Concertmaster of the Polish Chamber Orchestra when he won the Lodz Competition at a young age. At the age of 18, he performed Paganini's Violin Concerto at the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra and made his soloist debut. Aiming for further improvement, he moved to Germany, studied under Wolfgang Marschner at the Freiburg University of Music, and gained the position of First Concertmaster of the Nuremberg Opera Orchestra. After that, he transferred to the Darmstadt State Opera Orchestra, where he led the orchestra as the first concertmaster for many years and attracted a large audience. He is also very enthusiastic about chamber music, and his recordings at the Sonale Quartet have won many awards, including the Deutscher Kritiker Award. He has many activities as a soloist, and has been invited to world-class music festivals such as the Spring Music Festival in Prague and the Bergamo Music Festival, and has performed in major halls around the world such as Suntory Hall as well as European countries. His repertoire is very wide up to the present day, including Toru Takemitsu. He began teaching in 1992 as a professor at the prestigious Folkwang University of the Arts in Germany (President from 1998 to 2000), making many of his adoring students professional musicians and educators. He has visited Japan many times, and his wife is Japanese, so the professor who has a close relationship with Japan is familiar with the habits of Japanese people. If he wants success in Europe, he will definitely be a bridge between Japan and Europe. With such a wealth of achievements, why don't you try aiming for the future once with a teacher of Japanese favor?

In fact, many students in Europe study through listening. It is also an opportunity to listen to the performances of many other people, and through the lessons of various people, you will be able to better understand the teaching method and personality of the teacher. Musical instruments other than the violin can also enjoy the atmosphere of overseas classes, so please feel free to join us. The teaching method of overseas professors is completely different from that of Japan. In particular, the main focus is to "enjoy and express music more", so the points to teach vary from student to student. Isn't it a big point for those who are aiming to study abroad or become a professional in the future to feel how the points of teaching are different from those in Japan? Even if you are not satisfied with Japan, it will be an opportunity to think about studying abroad.
