Rupert Fankhauser, a world-famous clarinet player from Austria, developed his talent as soon as he started playing the clarinet and studied at the prestigious University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. An adventurous and active man, he left Europe and was the head of the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra in South Africa. He has also toured the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra under world-class conductors such as Karajan, Bernstein, Muti, Barenboim and Rattle. He is also enthusiastic about chamber music such as the soloist of the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and the Vienna Clarinet Connection, and has performed at the Musikverein and the Salzburg Festival. What is striking is that he has been exploring the concept of "body as an instrument" for many years and deeply researching yoga, Alexander Technique, breathing method, movement control, etc. in order to master music. As a result, he was selected as a wind instrument coach of the Baltic Youth Philharmonic Orchestra led by Kristjan Järvi as an expert in "Grimberg Method Stage 1" and "Spiral Dynamics (Basic)".Currently, he is enthusiastically teaching his students as a professor at the prestigious University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
