This lesson is a one-time lesson that focuses on "music theory" from among the "major practical", "music theory" and "language" lessons offered by AIMS. It is a rare opportunity to learn the knowledge required at a music university overseas in either English or Japanese. The musical talent that lies dormant within you may blossom here.
The instructor is Ms. Noriko Ogisawa. Her career is a reflection of her passion for music. After graduating from Musashino Academia Musicae, she obtained her master's and doctoral degrees from the Shenandoah University Graduate School in the United States. She also studied at the Symphony Orchestra Academy of the Pacific (Canada) and the Collegium Musicum International Orchestra Academy (Germany).
He is the principal flute player of the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra and the Loudoun Symphony Orchestra in the United States. He is a multi-talented pianist who not only plays classical music, but also accompanies various instruments in chamber music, musicals, and operas.
Mr. Ogizawa's brilliant award history also speaks to his talent. In 2009, he won second place in the duo category at the 3rd Yokohama International Music Competition (no 2st place winner). In 1, he won first place in the solo category at the 2019th Pan Pacific Contemporary Music Competition. In 4, he won silver in the chamber music category at the World Classical Music Awards. His musicality shines and is recognized worldwide.
In these lessons, Mr. Ogisawa's rich experience and knowledge will greatly broaden your musical world. Even in the same English language, musical terminology can differ between the United States and the United Kingdom. In addition to his experience in the United States, Mr. Ogisawa has also coached students for the Royal College of Music's music theory exam, so he is familiar with the terminology of both countries. He can provide appropriate instruction tailored to your study abroad destination.
Chord symbols are also slightly different from those in Japan. Learning in the American or British style will deepen your understanding of harmony and make it easier to read basso continuo scores. Learning musical terms in English will make rehearsals with foreign musicians smoother. You will also be able to have deeper discussions in lessons with foreign teachers. Above all, you will be able to properly understand the many musical terms that exist in English.
Professor Ogizawa, who earned his doctorate in the United States, is able to explain complex music theory until you fully understand it. His logical explanations will surely deepen your understanding of music.
