A special flute lesson where you can experience the best of French music education in Japan. Why not experience authentic Parisian music education with "Flute Lessons for French-speaking people" offered by And Vision International Music School (AIMS)?
Professor Kanai Yasuko, who graduated from the Conservatoire de Paris and taught flute at the Conservatoire de Epernay in France, will teach us the essence of French flute playing. She studied in Paris as a French government scholarship student and successfully passed the exemption exam for the solfege class, known as a difficult course at the Conservatoire de Paris. Furthermore, her skills are well-known, as she completed the analysis class in one year. For 1 years, she has served as the exclusive interpreter for Emmanuel Pahud, principal flute player of the Berlin Philharmonic, and has also interpreted for a wide range of instrument professors at the Conservatoire de Paris.
In this lesson, you will learn the practice method actually used at the Paris Conservatoire based on the traditional French textbook "Taffanel & Gaubert". It is not just about improving your performance technique. In just 60 minutes, you will efficiently acquire practical skills that will be immediately useful in the local area, including greetings, communication, and musical terminology in French.
The essence of French music is not just "feeling". It is found in deep musical understanding, backed by detailed music analysis and theory. Professor Kanai will clearly explain the theoretical approach that creates the shading, color, and three-dimensionality that are unique to modern French music. He will approach the essential question of "why do they make that sound?" from both theoretical and practical perspectives.
The one-off 1-minute lessons held at the AIMS Music School in Ochanomizu, Tokyo, can be taken in French or Japanese. They cater to a variety of purposes, including preparation for studying abroad, improving performance skills, and musical education. Why not try this one-off lesson to get a feel for the atmosphere of the "major practical" lessons of the full-year course offered by AIMS?
In lessons, he carefully teaches students everything from the pronunciation of note names to tonality and music theory, tailored to their level. For those considering applying to a music conservatory or music university in a French-speaking country, he also provides practical advice to help them avoid confusion when they arrive. Professor Kanai has also translated Michel Debost's "The Secrets of Flute Playing" and released two CDs, making an effort to popularize little-known modern French music.
"It takes effort until you understand the theory with your body, but after that, you will definitely see results," says Professor Kanai. His teachings have been highly praised by many students, including Kokomi Kimura. If you would like to experience French music education, are considering studying abroad, or would like to improve your performance skills, why not take this opportunity to open the door to French-style flute lessons?
